Hi there! If you’re reading this, then you’ve been kind enough to express some interest in the trip that Marisa and I are embarking on in just a few days. We’re leaving the country on September 29th to travel the world, hitting up a relatively long list of countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan. We head back to the US via Hawaii with a bonus stop in Portland to pick up our cats.

We started this blog for two reasons: to create some kind of record for ourselves of this trip and to let people follow along with us a bit. We’ll be writing about the food we eat, the sights we see, and the people we meet (plus nerdier posts about gear). I’m also hoping to get more of an interactive map thing going to let people suggest destinations so we can kind of crowd-source parts of our trip. Feel free to play with the map above in the meantime.

Anyway, that’s enough from me. We’ll be putting up some posts in the next few days so keep checking back with us. There are a couple ways to follow the blog.
